Kia ora tatou,
The lockdown extension announced by the Prime Minister on Monday signals further hardship and challenges for many members, as Auckland continues to bear the brunt of Covid lockdowns compared to the rest of the country. I sincerely hope that the planned reductions in Alert Levels come to fruition without any further delays so that members can gradually increase their operational capacity before time runs out for some.
Business North Harbour (BNH) continues to provide as much up-to-date information as possible to enable members to access Government and other support available and I would encourage everyone who is eligible to take advantage of this support, whether it be financial or advisory. Below this article there are several useful links that provide access to available support.
I applaud those members who are using their time in the current situation to work on their business. Some are looking to change their current business model, while others are reviewing and improving internal systems and processes or updating their websites. Whatever your individual ‘work-ons’ are I wish you every success.
I hope that the next message I send enables me to welcome some positive changes in Alert Levels. In the meantime, the BNH Team wish you all well and please do reach out to us at any time.
Ngā mihi mahana,
Kevin O'Leary General Manager, Business North Harbour | |

Te reo Māori has been an official language of Aotearoa since 1987. Every year Māori Language Week is held in September, starting on a Monday and ending on the following Sunday.
Māori Language Week (Māori: Te Wiki o te Reo Māori) is a government-sponsored initiative intended to encourage New Zealanders to promote the use of the Māori language, which, along with New Zealand Sign Language, is an official language of the country.
This special week is an opportunity for the concentrated celebration and promotion of te reo Māori, helping to secure its future as a living, dynamic, and rich language.
