Kia ora tatou,
The latest Government announcement on Monday 8th November will have come as a huge relief for some members who can finally open their doors. Unfortunately, however Level 3 - Step 2 is far from ideal for other members as they still aren’t allowed to operate, or it isn’t viable for them to do so, but at least it is a step in the right direction. I sincerely hope that ‘Freedom Day’, when Auckland reverts to the new traffic light system, comes to fruition as planned on 1st December, or ideally, earlier if possible. Click here to see what this new system means for your business.
On a bright note, the relaxation of some restrictions means that BNH is able to hold our annual ONE DAY SALE on Saturday 4th December. This is an ideal opportunity for retailers, wholesalers and distributors to: - Get some great pre-Christmas brand exposure
- Maximise your pre-Christmas sales and cashflow
- Move excess or end-of-line stock
- Attract new customers to your products and services
Buying local and supporting local has never been more important so if you’re keen to be involved as a participating business, please click here.
Vaccination remains the key to a return to any sort of normality in Auckland and recently we have seen all three DHBs pass the 90% threshold for first jabs which is an awesome effort. If you are not yet part of this statistic, I once again encourage you to get vaccinated and to support everyone across your networks to follow suit. To view a list of drive-through and North Shore walk-in vaccination locations, please click here.
The Team at BNH wish you all well, please don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance.
Ngā mihi mahana,
Kevin O'Leary General Manager, Business North Harbour | |

For the first time in our history the BNH AGM was held online on Thursday 4th November, proving to be a great success. Thank you to those members, associate members and observers who were able to join us and I hope that despite the success of this year’s event, we are able to meet in person next year. During the AGM, TN Chan became a welcome addition to the BNH Executive Committee and I would like to thank him for volunteering his time to take up the role. A summary of the AGM is available to read here.
